Hands-On High Voltage Testing Workshop
T&R Test Equipment Ltd., in collaboration with Acutest, is hosting a practical, engineer-focused High Voltage Testing Workshop at Acutest HQ in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This one-day session is designed to strengthen real-world testing skills across relay testing, primary injection, and high-voltage applications.
This is not a sales presentation. It is a hands-on, problem-solving workshop built around the challenges engineers face on site, with practical demonstrations, open discussion, and expert guidance throughout the day.
Workshop details
- Location: Acutest HQ – Test Equipment Supply & Service Centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme
- Date: 10.03.2026
- Time: 09:30–15:00 (registration from 09:15)
- Lunch and refreshments: Provided
Relay testing in practice
Protection systems are only as dependable as the testing behind them. Using the 200ADM-P and 50ADM-P, this session covers how different relay testers are used, how they interact with circuit breakers, and how to approach testing methodically. You will also explore common testing errors and how to troubleshoot them with confidence.
Primary vs secondary injection
A frequent source of confusion in commissioning and maintenance, this session clearly explains when primary injection is essential, when secondary injection is sufficient, and why these methods are often critical during commissioning. You will leave with clear, practical answers you can apply on site.
High-voltage testing – safely and accurately
The final practical session focuses on HV testing techniques, equipment selection, accurate measurement, and avoiding common errors. Safety, reliability, and real-world application are central throughout.
Who should attend
- Protection and commissioning engineers
- HV and LV engineers and technicians
- Maintenance teams
- Anyone responsible for electrical testing and safety
