The KV50-100 MK2 Test System is an advanced AC test system for insulation testing. It suits both development and routine testing of electrical insulation systems. It includes a control unit and a separate oil-filled high voltage transformer, connected by 5-meter cables.
The control unit provides exceptional control, precise metering, and reliable protection. Equipped with large, linear analogue instruments, it enables accurate measurement of output voltage and current. Additionally, the system incorporates a variable electronic trip, allowing for flexible adjustment of the trip current within the range of 10% to 110% of the rated output. This ensures optimal control and adaptability during testing procedures.
Mobility is ensured with the oil-filled steel tank housing the high voltage transformer. It has swivel castors for easy movement. The HV output utilizes a high voltage bushing, with the HV winding’s other end grounded. Variable electronic trips monitor output current, and a fixed over-current trip protects the output transformer’s primary. Additionally, fuses are in place to safeguard the input and control supplies.
