Description

The KV10-120 MK3 Test Set serves as a high voltage general purpose test instrument specifically designed for testing insulation systems and measuring breakdown voltage on electrical plant and components. It allows you to vary the output voltage from zero to 10kV while providing accurate metering for both the output voltage and current. It includes a zero-voltage interlock feature, which requires the voltage control to be set at zero before energizing the output.

You can rely on the large, accurate true RMS digital meters incorporated into the unit for metering the output voltage and current. These backlit meters have a digit height of 19mm, ensuring clear visibility. To protect the test object and output, the system features an adjustable current trip. You can set the trip level in 10% increments within the range of 10-110% of the rated output. In case of a breakdown, the unit visually indicates the condition of the test object. You must manually reset the unit after a trip condition before resuming testing.

Conduct timed tests with ease using the pre-selectable test timer of the KV10-120 MK3. Choose from various durations, including 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes. An alarm notifies you when the test time has ended, ensuring accurate timing. The unit also offers automatic mains voltage selection, enabling seamless operation with different voltage inputs. Additionally, it provides an external 24Vdc interlock circuit for connecting emergency off switches and enclosure interlocks, enhancing safety.
